Hi,

Last time I was on holidays with my digital camera. I made a lot of
photos and was using a laptop to browse, file (segregate), etc. It was
done mostly during movements where there was no place to use a mouse, so
a keyboard (supported by trackball) was my primary tool. gqview is my
favorite image browser, but after two weeks I think it could be more
keyboard friendly.

1. After start focus should be set on a file list (now it seems to be
set nowhere - it's required to a few presses of TAB key to go to the
directory list). The same situation is when you select a directory using
mouse pointer.

2. Backspace key in a file list could move us o a parent directory and
set focus to a directory list.

3. gqview should have ability to make a link of a image (similar to
copy, move, delete ...). This is useful when you select file to be sent
for printing (but maybe "collection" mechanism should be used for that
purposes).

4. gqview could have option to use "orientation" tag from an Exif's
specification [1] and automatically rotate images like square brackets
(if user decided to use that option).

5. There could be ability to add current file to a collection using
keyboard only (but maybe I missed something and there is already that
option). Dragging using trackball isn't very comfortable.

6. "Preferences" windows doesn't close when escape key is pressed.

I thing that part/most of mentioned things would be useful for other
users too.

I heartily support the addition of this feature.
Perhaps even make it 'smart'... hardlink where possible, and softlink where
not?

I have found corresponding option already in gqview (I don't know why I
didn't see it earlier).

But other points are still open. Any comments?
